PARALLAX VIEW: PALESTINE 2002
SETH TOBOCMAN

Sept. 21 | 5:00 pm | Flawn Academic Center Room 21 | UT Campus | Free admission

A lifelong activist, and Parallax staple, Seth Tobocman was part of a group which began publishing World War Three Illustrated comics out of the Lower East Side of New York in 1979. His art, which is widely reprinted and recognized, reflects his involvement in struggles such as racism, police brutality, squatterís rights, and U.S. foreign and domestic policy. Tobocman is the author of War in the Neighborhood and You Don't Have to Fuck People Over to Survive. He will be showing new work compiled during a recent visit to Palestine as well as pictures drawn by Palestinian children that he met there.
