CINEMAKIDS SCREENING 3: WORKSHOP FILMS & PANEL DISCUSSION RESCHEDULED
Saturday, October 13
11:00 a.m.
Texas State Capital Auditorium
Free Admission
Cinemakids Screening 3 and the Panel Discussion will take place as part of the Austin Film Festival, and will follow another panel discussion with several directors and writers of family-oriented entertainment.
Cinemakids is a special non-competition program of short films, videos,
and computer animations created by youth 18 and younger from around
the world. By featuring youth-made work, Cinematexas acknowledges that
contemporary cinema and media culture have expanded beyond the realm
of adults through a phenomenal increase in young cultural producers.
Bringing together younger and older filmmakers at the festival for mutual
inspiration and education, Cinemakids is devoted to honoring young media
producers and their unique perspectives and interests. In addition, Cinemakids
hopes to motivate other young people to take control of their creativity and
become active participants in the larger arts community. In order to achieve
this latter objective, the Cinemakids program includes free film and video
workshops for youth inexperienced in film production, as well as a panel
discussion with young and adult filmmakers and others working in the film
business. See below for more details on Cinemakids events, locations,
dates, and times.
